For a period, exceeding a decade, I have been working in a continuous research project concerning lichen and algae.
The focus of the study has been on lichens and seaweed (es, with following artistic media employed: drawing, printmaking, photography (including cyanotypes) and video.
Algae are classified as primordial organisms, while seagrasses are flowering plants. This means that algae are unicellular or multicellular organisms that have no roots, stems or leaves, while seagrasses have more complex structures similar to those of land plants.
Recently I initiated a web blog on the resulting artwork. A selection of these works will be made available there. Further details will be provided in due course.
